The
Route Map provides a graphical representation of the
model. It is used to
understand the
structure and processes of the "total success picture" and the
interactions and dependencies of the modules,
functions and
components. The
path through the model is determined by the type of
requirement
-
A
defined, justified Requirement
is placed at the correct level in the
five level Requirements Planning / Structure
(green). The level
determines the actions to be taken and preceding and succeeding
dependencies.
-
The
Solution Process (blue) sets and
considers potential solutions for each level. It provides focus
and direction, uses resources and standard objective information from the
Resources module
(red), compares
and decides
-
Simple
Requirements are met by using a single level of the Requirements /
Planning Structure. More complex requirements are achieved by using several
or all levels of
the structure
-
The
final Requirements / Planning Structure
(gold) contains justified optimum,
justified solutions. Risks, Costs and Benefits and
effects and consequences have been considered and approved
or rejected
-
Each level is justified as correct before spending,
and possibly wasting, ever increasing time money and effort on lower levels
Simple powerful solutions to complex problems
