Viewing Tips
The following tips may be useful to users who are new to web page viewing or wish to optimise the display of pages

insights success strategies

  • The model overview content has been sized for a Display Setting Screen Area of 800 x 600 pixels

  • Display Colour Settings should ideally be Hi Colour (16 bit) or True Colour (24 bit) or a minimum of 256 Colours

  • The need to scroll can be reduced by decreasing the vertical space taken by the data, or by increasing the viewing area:

    • bulleted lists - bulleted lists which are indented can be collapsed or expanded by clicking on the paragraph headings (not all browsers, compliance can be tested by clicking on the paragraph above)

    • window size -  to reduce scrolling or remove unappealing empty background space it is recommended that the initial window just fits both frames

    • maximum window - the maximum window size will accommodate the complete overview content for a screen with a viewing area of 800 x 600.  Windows for smaller screen areas of 640 x 480 will obviously require scrolling and windows for larger areas can be reduced to the correct "window size"

    • full screen viewing - long pages are viewed easier by setting the browser to full screen viewing

    • new window - right clicking a hyperlink provides the option to open a new window which can then be adjusted.  A new window link has been provided for the longer pages - Success Strategies and Future Software

  • Some tables with graphics require a fixed width to display correctly.  To prevent distortion with very small or very large frames these tables are fixed at 600 pixels and the Frame Resizing in Browser facility has been disabled

  • Browser menus can obviously be used to stop / refresh animations and change font size

  • Content has been tested with the latest IE and Netscape browsers. Although most content appears similar these pages are best viewed with IE. IE shows formats as they were created and expands and collapses bulleted lists correctly which enables enhanced viewing
