Two Canadian Goalkeepers Seek Playing Opportunities
I had heard some good things about South African hockey...what I had in
mind was possible openings for a Canadian Player to go there, in particular we have 2 solid goalies that are both in 1979 making them to old for Jr here and yet to young for the minor pro which are quite deep in the nets.
If possible, could you inquire as to any openings and let me know.
I realize it is a long shot but you never know unless you ask...right!
There is interest from Norway and Austria in these 2 players.

You like to give training/coaching and play hockey in the Netherlands (Holland) in 2000/2001 starting august 2000 til may 2001 (or to 2003!!)?
We would like to give you some more information regarding the vacancy at our club.
My name is Rainier Vrolijks a member of our Club Committee.
The ideal situation for our club would be to have a person who could fulfil the following tasks:
1) Train a large number of our hockey teams during the week.
2) Coordinate the training scheme of our Club.
3) Give training sessions to educate club members to become club trainers.
4) Coach a junior girls or boys team (Saturdays).
5) Play in our first Ladies or Men's team (Sundays).
4a) or if not playing, coach a team (Sundays).
Anybody fulfilling above tasks (or close to it) will be considered.
Just to give a better feeling of what sort of a club we are:
We are a Hockey club (with a small cricket division, started 2 years
ago) situated in the center of The Netherlands. Our club was founded 35
years ago and is a medium sized club in this region (500 members). Our
club is well known for it's high standard of social events and the
companionable atmosphere. As mentioned our first Lady team plays 3rd
grade and our first Men's team plays 2nd grade.
In The Netherlands the hockey competition consists of following grades:
Premier division, Transition division, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th 5th grade.
We Have targets for the next 5 years.
A few important targets are: acquiring new members (min. of 600 members), getting 1st Ladies team into 2nd grade and 1st Men's into 1st grade
(it goes without saying that the 2nd teams and junior teams will have to be brought at a higher level to create the necessary back-up to maintain at this level) and creating all this within a sound financial structure.
When we first started within the new committee (3 years ago), we had 400
club members and our 1st Men's team played 3rd grade, just to show you that we are on the right track.
Our club has it's own Clubhouse and two artificial Gras fields.( with
Light for night matches)
For this position we can organize in-house lodgment with one of our club
members.
Should you require any additional information please do not hesitate to
contact us.
We would be very grateful if you could help us out.
Best regards,
Rainier Vrolijks
