Just follow the instructions below. They will explain to you how to upload your website onto your ISP's server. Remember that this information may differ!

Getting it all together:

  1. Before you start the uploading process, you must first make sure that you have everything in a folder. This includes pages, icons and images.

  2. Also check that all of the pictures and links are working in your selected browser.

  3. Once everything is organized, open up your browser (offline) and point it to your main page (index.htm).

  4. Now just browse through your site clicking on all of the links to make sure that they work. If some of them don't work you must fix them.

  5. Now, go through you webpage folder again to check for any unnecessary images or pages.

Setting everything up:

  1. Now that you have gotten everything in your folder organized, open CuteFTP.

  2. Now I can't give you a guide on how to set up CuteFTP because people have different ISPs. I would advise you to call your ISP support and ask them to tell you how and where to enter their servers information in CuteFTP. If they refer you to another program, use that program because they can tell you exactly what to do.

  3. When you have set up CuteFTP and you are ready, connect to the internet.

Uploading your site:

  1. Everything on your hard drive should be on the left side of the screen while on the other side is what is on your ISPs server (your stuff on the web).

  2. Now choose the folder that's on your left that you want to put onto the internet.

  3. Click and drag it onto the opposite side of the screen.

  4. CONGRATULATIONS!!! Your Website is now being transferred onto the internet. Wait until your entire site is on the internet, then go and check it out!

Now don't forget to keep updating your site!!
