Superman flies through the air unaided, changes clothes in a moment, leaps tall buildings, has endless strength, can see through objects, is able to move from one point to another so quickly it seems instantaneous.
Guides and helpers in the Spirit World wanted to show those of us on the Earth what it is like in their world. We were given images nit only of their physical attributes but often of situations, circumstances and aspects of the Spirit World. These superheroes were given to us in the same way that any other information is given. The ideas were imprinted on the brains of the artists and story-tellers, something that happens more often on a day to day basis than we care to realize - called inspiration.
These stories swere given to us in a form of guidance and teaching for us to be able to understand the existence and purpose of the Spirit World. Superheroes are always saving and helping people, doing good wherever they can. It was a very effective measns of communication, but as time went by, it lost it's effectiveness and become little more than an entertaining story.
Since then there have been many stories of many characters. Unfortunately the reason for their existence no longer has the same meaning, but those in the Spirit World have compensated for it, making use of other, more sophisticated methods of guidance and communication.
Some superheroes can 'hear' the thoughts of others and can change their appearance or form. All these any many other superhuman feats.
