They have been known by many names, apparitions, ghosts, spirits, angels, etc. yet they all remain the same. Some people, once they have discarded thier earthly physical bodies come back to the earth from time to time for various reasons and allow themselves to be seen. This can be done, to help or consol someone on the earth or to guide or reassure or to assist with some life problem.
There are two ways a ghost can be seen on the earth, either the physical earth people must raise their vibrations high enough or the spirit must cloak his body in a substance called Ectoplasm, a covering making the spirit body visible and functional to a certain extent on earth.
People on the earth make the mistake of fearing these visitors to our plane. They are no more than human beings without the physical body. It is the physical earth body that draws the only distinction between them and us for without it, we will too one day be ghosts. They are loving friends and helpers who choose to return in order to help us.
A spirit should not however be mistaken for a mindless haunting, which is an entirely different matter.
