Macha: Irish warrior and death goddesses

Macha is one of the famous warrior and death goddesses known as the Morigan. She is known as the crow and fed on the heads of slain enemy warriors. She is also reputed to dominate her male lovers through cunning or brute strength.

So this is Macha and if you see her should you run? No. At some stage she was forced to run a contest against Ulster warriors whilst being pregnant. She won of course (outrunning a horse) but cursed all Ulster men to suffer birth pains when engaged in conflict. This later helped Medb during her battle with the Ulster men over two bulls.
