Badb: Irish goddess of battle.

Badb means crow, and she is an Irish goddess of battle. She was one of a famous group of goddesses who influenced battles by inspiring the warriors with fear or courage. Her companions are Morrigan, Macha and Nemain.

Badb is an accomplished shape shifter and uses the forms of bears, wolves and her favourite, the raven. During battles it is said that she often changed into a miniature woman with webbed feat screeching of death and doom. When it is all over, she turns into a raven feasting on the flesh of the slain.
