Kagiso

Kagiso Mathebula lives in Hammanskraal, north of Pretoria. After the charity stepped in to help Linda Tshabalala (elsewhere on website) and put on its first UMashesha safety presentation in the area, the principal of Linda's school asked if we could also assist another pupil who had been burned.

So we met Kagiso who turns 14 in July 2003. He had a neck contracture that needed releasing.

UMashesha Jimmy Mathye helped with hospital visits and Garankua hospital carried out the surgery swiftly and effectively. Unlike many children that we help, Kagiso has a very supportive mother Sarah Mathebula who telephoned regularly to check how he was doing.

He is back with his loving family and back in school, doing well in his studies.
