Lying
on the banks of the magnificent Kavango River, Ngepi Camp has plenty of shade and dappled sunlight,
cooled by the fantastic greenery of the gardens and grass; peace and quiet ...
But what else can you get up to in our amazing Paradise??
ANIMAL ADVENTURES AND DELTA DELIGHTS !!!
Take a Day trip to Mahongo
National Park and
spot 4 of the BIG 5 as well as crocs, hippos, perhaps even ellies sunbathing on the river bank AND maybe
the RARE roan and sable antelope FROM UP CLOSE. (you may walk in this
park.... at your own pace IF YOU DARE which might have to be PRETTY QUICK AT TIMES)
See the Northern Okavango Delta on CoooooL 2 - 4 day trips with specialised itineraries for mokoro trips, bush walks and houseboat jaunts.... and parties.
Experience a mokoro or
canoe safari extending from two hours to two days on the Kavango
river, stopping over on an upstream
ROMANTIC island for the night, then
drift or paddle back to camp.
Bring your bi-nocks along and see how many LBJs and BBWFEs you can twitch a tick to. (SAY THAT QUICKLY) We've got over 550 TO CHOOSE FROM and lots of species too!!!
ACCOMMODATION
9 private
campsites
and 4 overland sites each have braai
places, water, hot
showers and open-air star-gazing ablutions.
The famous wooden deck overlooking the river is a GREAT setting for sunsets, sundowners and CHICK spotting (eagles and egrets, of course ! ) .
And the unique floating pool IN the river lets you get wet and face to face
with hippos
and crocks at the same time.
(No-one's been munched yet.)
However, to offset ongoing
dehydration, we have the most vibeyest bush pub with bush cuisine and
a chill room .....
with tons of travel mags AND BOOKS, kick-back beanbags and lazy couches......
(EVEN A DSTV THAT WE DON'T LIKE TO ADMIT TO)
We're nestled in between the Mahango Game Park and Bwabwata National Parks on the Kavango river and not far from Khaudam National Park, It's an oasis in the Kalahari where the only river feeding the Okavango Swamps flows past your tent.
The above fun activities in this wonderul relaxing natural area....on the river... and land too... will keep you fully occupied for up to 4 days.
It's really the ONLY sensible stopover on your trip from CAPE TOWN to VIC FALLS... as well as being the best place to access the incredible OKAVANGO DELTA experience
