Hagonya is a dynamic band fronted by Jeff Maluleke. Their debut album, "That's The Way", is a fantastic blend of Tsonga and English woven into traditional beats and generic western and African melodies. The band was recorded by CCP (a division of EMI South Africa). The company has absolute faith in Hagonya and they are working on a big budget release which starts recording May 1998.Jackson Browne selected Hagonya from several possible bands to perform the opening act on his Looking East tour and by personal invitation they performed together with Jackson and band at a packed Sun City Superbowl.The combination of the two bands onstage for a "jam" became the highlight of the show.
